Abdul Basit – Mujawwad

Abdul Basit – Mujawwad is a podcast featuring the Quranic recitation of the renowned Egyptian Qari Abdul Basit Abdus Samad. Born in 1927 in Armant, Egypt, he memorized the Quran in seven different styles and began leading Tarawih prayers at age 14. His unique recitation style, particularly of Surah Fatihah, earned him three world Qirat competitions in the 1970s. He also served as the first president of the Reciters' Union in Egypt.
